US Coast Guard Vessel Safety Checks & Fire Extinguisher Service

To all MYC Boat Owners,

The United States Coast Guard will be on-site Saturday, April 26th, starting at 8 a.m., as part of our Home Port Cruise Agenda. This year, we will have 3 examiners on the property to conduct VSCs (Vessel Safety Checks). The vessel examinations take an hour or less to complete. This means we can accommodate 3 boaters per hour, starting at 8 a.m., with the last examination beginning at 2 p.m. (or later, depending on demand). That would provide for at least 21+ boats on Saturday.

In the event we have more than 21 boats sign up, the US Coast Guard will be on standby to assist us on Sunday as well. If you would like to participate, please visit the MYC website calendar link and click on the CG Boat Inspections Link to follow the instructions. A VSC Flyer from the USCG is enclosed for your reference. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
