CANAL DREDGING UPDATE

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED

As Latitude 30 reported, the money we’ve been taxed to dredge the canal is available, it just needs to be released by congress.   We’ve paid for it, and they need to do their job and get it released.

The “Friends of the Canal” organization spoke to Jenny Callaway from Congressman Huffman’s office.  They are on fire to push the P2 – P3 Partnership through.  They are waiting on the federal budget to be set, and then they will be pushing ahead with the Army Core to try and get our funds to make this happen.  She said for the time being until that happens, it would be helpful to send more letters to Huffman’s office to show that we stand behind it so he can use that as leverage with the Army Core.
